One of the main focal points on the math curriculum from state to state is the set of Common Core State Math Standards. These standards mandate what a student should understand and be able to do at each respective grade level.

As a result of such, students will have to have a deepened understanding of the various math concepts and skills according to his or her grade level. Readiness standards prepare students from grade level to grade level.
